Party Time with InviteMe
____
My littlest is about to turn one – where did the time go?
____
Its going to be the third time I celebrate one of my babies turning one, and even though deep down I’m feeling a little sad that my baby’s not such a baby anymore – it’s such a huge milestone and it needs to be celebrated!
We have chosen a 'rainbow caticorn' cake inspired by Coco Cakeland (this cake lady is seriously impressive) so we need some party bits and pieces to compliment it.
Nothing says *PARTY* like Invite Me in Yarraville, Melbourne.
This bright, colourful and super cheery store is packed full of everything you need to celebrate your special occasion. The balloon bar is ridiculous. From foil dinosaurs to balloon garlands, love hearts to cheese burgers – the choice is endless! You can also get a custom giant balloon made up with confetti and streamers.

Sax (my three year old) and I stopped by to chat to stylist Jane for some ideas and inspiration for our upcoming birthday party.
Jane's top themes trending right now:
Liberty Print
You can’t go wrong with a good liberty print. It’s a classic and perfect for birthday parties, bridal showers, tea parties, mothers day – the list goes on! The selection of printed plates are incredible, and theres napkins/cups/party hats/crackers to match.
Jungle
Instantly my three year old Sax rushed over to the jungle display, it was the large alligator plates and tiger cupcake toppers that caught his eye. The winner for me were the snake party blowers!
Unicorns
Unicorns and rainbows go together just like ice cream and sprinkles. Bright colours, glitter and magic is every little girls dream! Unicorn snot, poop and barf are staples in my house lol.
Superhero
Pop! Thwack! KaPow! Every kid loves a superhero. The party boxes and matching invitations are the perfect addition if you're throwing a superhero themed party.
Pet range
You’ll find the cutest dog and cat range of matching plates, cups and napkins. We mixed and matched the super cute cat plates & napkins with some rainbow coloured ones.

Invite Me is such a magical store filled with the most amazing toys, presents, decorations and party must-haves. Its officially Sax's favourite place *in the whole wide world* which also might have something to do with him being allowed to stand on the counter holding a giant flamingo balloon!
Just a FYI, we went for a selection of ice cream and sprinkle balloons, along with a silver number 1 and a unicorn head (of course!) Remember to check out our Instagram stories to see how the party – and caticorn cake – turned out.
